Initially change the crankcase oil after a 50-hour running period. Thereafter, change the oil every 3 months or at 500-hour intervals. Additional lubrication may be required with increased hours of operation or elevated temperatures.
Cat Pumps are generally designed for forward rotation to allow for optimum lubrication of the crosshead area. Reverse rotation is acceptable if the crankcase oil level is increased slightly above the center dot to ensure adequate lubrication.
Ensure all valves are open before starting the system to avoid deadhead overpressure conditions. You must also never run the pump dry or without oil in the crankcase.
