4. Enstalasyon
This section outlines the basic steps for setting up your RunCam WiFiLink2 system. Ensure all components are present as listed in the package contents.
4.1. Enstalasyon Fizik
- Montaj: Secure the WiFiLink2 module to your RC platform using the provided mounting holes (25.5*25.5mm hole distance). Ensure the cooling fan has adequate airflow.
- Koneksyon Kamera: Connect the micro FPV camera to the main module using the MIPI cable.
- Koneksyon antèn: Attach the 5G IPEX1 antennas to the module.
- Koneksyon pouvwa: Connect the power supply (9-22V) to the module. Observe correct polarity.
4.2. Opsyon Koneksyon
The WiFiLink2 offers multiple ways to connect to a display or monitoring device:

Figure 4.1: Connection Methods. This diagram illustrates two primary methods for connecting the WiFiLink2 system to a display or monitoring device.
- Method 1: WiFiLink-RX (HDMI Output):
The WiFiLink2 transmits video via WiFi to a dedicated WiFiLink-RX receiver. The receiver then outputs the video to a display screen via HDMI. - Method 2: Direct Connection (Network Card):
The WiFiLink2 transmits video via WiFi to a network card (e.g., the included 8812AU-module) connected to a phone, tablet, or laptop. This method utilizes the OpenIPC software for monitoring.
4.3. Endikatè limyè
Familiarize yourself with the LED indicators for system status:

Figure 4.2: Light Status Indicators. This table explains the meaning of different LED light patterns on the WiFiLink2 module.
- Green Off: Odyo koupe
- Vèt Solid: Audio sou
- Vèt klòch rapid: Mizajou mikrolojisyèl an pwogrè
- Green Slow Flash: Anrejistreman sou
- Blue Solid: Demaraj WiFiLink
- Flache rapid ble: WiFi Erè
- Flash altène ble ak vèt: High Temperature Warning (>90°C)
5. Operasyon Enstriksyon
Once the system is set up, follow these instructions for operation.
5.1. Power On and Initial Connection
- Ensure the WiFiLink2 module is powered correctly. The blue LED should turn solid, indicating WiFiLink startup.
- For Method 1 (WiFiLink-RX), power on the receiver and connect it to your display. The video feed should appear automatically.
- For Method 2 (Direct Connection), connect the 8812AU-module to your phone, tablet, or laptop. Open the compatible OpenIPC application or software to establish the video link.
5.2. Video Resolution and Frame Rate
The system supports multiple resolutions and frame rates:
- 1080P at 60 frames per second (FPS)
- 1080P at 90 FPS
- 720P at 120 FPS
You can configure these settings through the OpenIPC software or OSD menu, accessible via remote control or ground station. Adjusting settings like bandwidth (e.g., 6mbps for 720P) may be necessary for optimal performance based on your environment.
5.3. Video and Audio Recording
To initiate video and audio recording, use the controls within the OpenIPC application or through the OSD menu. A green slow flash on the LED indicator confirms that recording is active.
5.4. OSD and Flight Controller Integration
The WiFiLink2 supports MSPOSD and MAVLink protocols, allowing for integration with compatible flight controllers. This enables on-screen display (OSD) of flight data and parameter tuning directly from your remote control or ground station software.
6. Antretyen
Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your RunCam WiFiLink2 system.

NAN. Depanaj
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your WiFiLink2 system.
7.1. Siyifikasyon Endikatè LED yo
Refer to the "Light Introduction" in Section 4.3 for detailed explanations of LED statuses, which can help diagnose issues.
- Flache rapid ble: Indicates a WiFi error. Check antenna connections and ensure the network card/receiver is properly configured and within range.
- Flash altène ble ak vèt: Indicates a high temperature warning (>90°C). Immediately power down the device and allow it to cool. Check for obstructions around the cooling fan and ensure adequate ventilation.
7.2. Video Quality Issues
- Garbage/Interference: Video quality can degrade significantly if the system is too close or too far from the receiver/monitoring device, or if there are significant obstructions (e.g., stucco structures, dense WiFi environments). Try adjusting your position or reducing interference sources.
- Lag/Latency: High latency can occur, especially at higher resolutions like 1080P. Consider reducing the resolution to 720P@120FPS for improved responsiveness. Ensure your monitoring device (laptop/phone) has sufficient processing power.
- Pèfòmans enkonsistan: Performance can vary based on environmental factors and settings. Experiment with different bandwidth settings (e.g., 4mbps or 6mbps) and power levels. Note that higher power levels can increase heat output.
7.3. Setup Complications
The OpenIPC platform offers extensive customization but can be complex for new users. If you encounter difficulties with advanced configurations, consult the OpenIPC community forums for guidance. Many settings can be adjusted via an SD card.
