The Oceans Abyss expands on Electro-Harmonix’s award-winning reverb technology to deliver a truly immersive effects workstation. The pedal is centered around dual reverb engines that are independently programmable with full-stereo algorithms including Hall, Spring, Shimmer and more. Featuring a customizable signal path with up to 8 effects blocks, the Oceans Abyss can be configured as individual reverb, modulation, EQ, delay, bit crusher, saturation or volume effects, or as countless combinations for incredibly creative effect shaping. From a simple Spring reverb to a lush stereo field featuring stereo hall and shimmer reverbs, chorus, delay, overdrive, and tremolo, you can go from surf to shoegaze instantly, without breaking a sweat. Deep parameter editing is accessible via the high-visibility OLED display with multiple graphical views and easy-to-read designs. Expression/CV control over nearly every parameter gives artful command of your effects and dynamics. Fully-stereo I/O plus an FX Loop allows for use with any instrument, recording set up, or live rig. 128 programmable presets via onboard footswitching or MIDI ensure perfect recall in all performance situations. MIDI IN/OUT ports with MIDI IN support of PC, CC, and Tempo Clock expand the already immense talents of the Oceans Abyss. Enstalasyon

Before connecting the Oceans Abyss, ensure all audio equipment is powered off to prevent damage. Connect your instrument to the input jacks and your amplifier or audio interface to the output jacks. The pedal supports stereo input and output for a rich, immersive sound experience.

For power, use a 9VDC 500mA power supply connected to the 9VDC 500mA input. The USB Type C port allows connection to a computer for effects editing and preset management via the EHXport app. MIDI IN/OUT ports provide comprehensive MIDI control for integration into complex setups.

Operating the Oceans Abyss

The Oceans Abyss features two independent reverb engines, Reverb A and Reverb B, each with dedicated controls for Pan, Pre-Delay, Time, Blend, Low EQ, and High EQ. The central OLED display provides visual feedback for parameter editing and preset management.

Duck mode creates reverb effects that decrease in volume the louder the input signal, allowing the reverb to stay out of the way of your playing but then become more lush and present as your dry signal fades.
• Auto-Inf: Reverb that listens to your playing and crossfades to a new reverb wash upon detection of newly struck notes and chords. Two modes affect how the crossfade occurs. Swell automatically mutes the previous wash while fading in the new one. X-Fade smoothly crossfades the two.

The Oceans Abyss allows for flexible signal path routing with up to 8 effects blocks. These blocks can be configured in individual, parallel, or series arrangements, offering extensive sound design possibilities. Effects include various delays, modulation (tremolo, chorus, flanger, phaser), graphic EQ, saturation, bit crusher, and an external FX loop.

The dual action footswitches allow for momentary or latching use, providing versatile control over effects. Pressing and holding a footswitch can engage an infinite reverb sustain, allowing notes and chords to build up on top of each other.
