4. Gid Enstalasyon
4.1. Preparasyon
Before installation, ensure your vehicle's engine is off and the parking brake is engaged. Gather all components listed in Section 3.
4.2. Etap enstalasyon yo
- Remove the existing shift knob from your vehicle. This usually involves unscrewing it counter-clockwise. Refer to your vehicle's manual if unsure.
- Identify the correct adapter screw (M12×P1.25, M10×P1.25, or M10×P1.5) that matches your vehicle's shift lever thread. If your vehicle uses an M8 thread, an optional M8 adapter (sold separately) is required.
- Thread the selected adapter screw onto the shift lever. Ensure it is securely tightened.
- Place the O-ring onto the adapter screw, if applicable, to ensure a snug fit and prevent rattling.
- Screw the GReddy Shift Knob body onto the adapter. You can adjust the installation height by how far you thread the knob onto the adapter (approximately 20mm adjustment range).
- Once the desired height and orientation are achieved, use the included lock screw and wrench to secure the shift knob in place. Tighten firmly but do not overtighten.
- Choose between the flat emblem or the round cap and attach it to the top of the shift knob.
- Apply the shift pattern sticker to a visible location near the shift knob, if desired.
4.3. Nòt enpòtan
- For Swift Sport (ZC33S) models, a separate long adapter is required for installation.
- The reverse lock lever of Swift Sport (ZC33S) models will not fit inside the knob's skirt.
- Depending on the car model, it may not be possible to set the shift knob to the exact same height as the genuine factory part.

5. Operasyon
The TRUST GReddy Shift Knob operates identically to a standard manual shift knob. Ensure smooth and deliberate movements when changing gears.
- Chanje vitès: Depress the clutch pedal fully, move the shift knob to the desired gear position, and then release the clutch pedal smoothly.
- Reverse Lock: For vehicles equipped with a reverse lock mechanism, the design allows the reverse lock lever to fit within the knob's skirt for most models. Engage the reverse lock as per your vehicle's specific procedure before shifting into reverse.

Do not force the shift knob into gear. If you encounter resistance, re-engage the clutch and try again. Improper shifting can damage your vehicle's transmission.

To ensure the longevity and appearance of your TRUST GReddy Shift Knob, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:
- Netwayaj: Wipe the shift knob regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the Duracon® material and finish.
- Enspeksyon: Periodically check the tightness of the shift knob and the adapter screw. If any looseness is detected, re-tighten using the provided wrench and lock screw.
- Tanperati: While Duracon® is durable, extreme temperatures (very hot or very cold) can affect its feel. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme cold when possible.
