The VIOFO HK4 Acc Hardwire Cable is designed to provide continuous power to your compatible VIOFO dash cam, enabling advanced parking surveillance features and protecting your vehicle's battery from discharge. This manual provides detailed instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance of your HK4 hardwire cable.

The HK4 hardwire cable is an essential accessory for maximizing the functionality of your VIOFO dash cam, especially for parking mode operations. Key features include:

Installing the HK4 hardwire cable requires connecting to your vehicle's fuse box. If you are not comfortable with electrical wiring, it is recommended to seek professional assistance.

4.1 Cable Diagram

• Red Wire (Battery+): Connect to a constant power fuse slot (always on).
• Yellow Wire (ACC): Connect to an ignition-switched fuse slot (on when vehicle is running).
• Fil Nwa (Tè): Connect to a metal ground point on the vehicle body.
• USB Type-C Plug: Connects to the dash cam's GPS Type-C port.

The hardwire cable length is 13.1ft (4m).

1. Locate your Fuse Box: Fuse box locations and types can differ between car models, years, and variants. Refer to your car manual for specific instructions.

2. Identify Battery & ACC Fuses: To check fuse locations, use a multimeter on DC voltage after turning off the vehicle. 12V or 24V indicates a Battery connection, while 0V indicates an ACC connection.
3. Recheck the Fuses: With the ignition turned on, use the multimeter to test the Battery and ACC fuse positions identified in Step 2. Both should show a voltage of approximately 12V or 24V. If not, repeat Step 2.
4. Remove the Selected Fuses: Use a fuse puller to remove the fuses from the previously identified Battery and ACC positions.
5. Insert the Removed Fuses: Check the type of the removed fuses and confirm the correct fuse model. Then insert each fuse into the corresponding fuse tap.

6. Connect the Fuse Tap: Insert the metal strands of the hardwire cable into the metal tube of the fuse tap, then use needle-nose pliers to crimp the metal tube tightly.
7. Install the Fuse Tap: Insert the fuse tap back into the fuse box and secure it properly to ensure a stable connection.
8. Install the Ground Wire (Black): Select a metal screw near the fuse box, loosen the screw, insert the Ground wire's metal terminal under the screw, and then tighten the screw securely.

9. Connect the Hardwire Cable: Connect the hardwire cable's Type-C plug into the power part on the top of the dashcam's GPS mount.

10. Test the Dash Cam: Start the vehicle to power on the dashcam. Enter the dashcam settings menu and enable Parking Mode. The parking mode icon will appear at the position on the left side of the screen.
11. Conceal the Wiring: Finally, follow the recommended wiring shown in the diagram below and use the trim removal tool to hide the hardwire cable for a clean installation.

With the HK4 hardwire cable installed, your dash cam can provide 24/7 parking surveillance. The dash cam will automatically switch to parking mode when the vehicle engine is off and return to normal recording when the engine is started.

Parking mode options typically include:

5.2 Low Voltage Pwoteksyon

The HK4 hardwire cable features built-in low voltage protection to prevent excessive discharge of your vehicle's battery. You can set a voltage cut-off value with four available options. When the vehicle's battery voltage drops to the configured threshold, the HK4 will automatically stop powering your dash cam, safeguarding your battery.

Important: This cable is NOT compatible with other series of VIOFO dash cameras, especially those that do not use a USB-C power connector or the GPS Type-C port for power.
