3.1 Car Alarm Unit

Follow these steps to set up your Technaxx Car Security Alarm TX-168.
4.1 Car Alarm Unit Installation
- Insert the Car Alarm Unit into your vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. Ensure it is securely seated.
- The unit will begin charging its internal battery.
4.2 External Siren Installation
- Choose a suitable location under the hood of your vehicle for the external siren. Ensure it is protected from direct water exposure and heat.
- Use the provided mounting material to secure the external siren.
- Connect the external siren's power cable to your car battery. The cable includes a 3A fuse for protection. Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
- The external siren connects wirelessly to the main car alarm unit.

5.1 Arming and Disarming the Alarm
- Pou bra the alarm: Press the button on the remote control once. The LED on the car alarm unit will indicate that the system is armed.

5.2 Panic Button Function
Press the 'Panic button' on the car alarm unit to manually activate the alarm. This can be used in situations where immediate attention or deterrence is required.
5.3 Charging the Car Alarm Unit
The car alarm unit has a built-in 500mAh lithium polymer battery. It can be charged in two ways:
- Via Cigarette Lighter Socket: When plugged into a vehicle's 12V/24V socket, the unit charges automatically.
- Via MicroUSB Input: Connect a MicroUSB cable to the MicroUSB input slot on the unit and a power source (e.g., a wall adapter or computer USB port) to charge the unit at home.

Charging time is approximately 2 hours. A full charge provides approximately 7 days of working time and up to 14 days of standby time.
5.4 USB and USB-C Charging Slots
The car alarm unit features a USB (2.4A) and a USB-C charging slot. These can be used to charge other electronic devices, such as smartphones, while the car alarm unit is powered.
