The Timex Chicago Chronograph watch features a 45mm silver-tone brass case, a black dial with full silver-tone markers, and a date window at 3 o'clock. It is equipped with a 30-minute chronograph that measures to 1/20th of a second. The adjustable silver-tone 20mm stainless steel bracelet is designed to fit wrist circumferences up to 8 inches. The watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet).

Understanding the Chronograph Dials
- Main Second Hand: This hand is dedicated to measuring seconds for the chronograph function and remains stationary when the chronograph is not active.
- Time of Day Sub-dial: Located at the 6 o'clock position, this sub-dial displays the running seconds for the current time of day.
- Minutes Elapsed Sub-dial: Positioned at the 10 o'clock mark, this sub-dial tracks minutes elapsed within a 30-minute segment during chronograph operation.
- 1/10th Second Sub-dial: Found at the 2 o'clock position, this sub-dial displays elapsed 1/10th of a second with accuracy up to 1/20th of a second. These measurements are shown when the chronograph is stopped or when reviewing split times.
Opere Chronograph la
The chronograph is operated using the pushers located above and below the crown.
- Komanse: Press the top pusher. The chronograph second hand will begin to move.
- To Take a Split Time: While the chronograph is running, press the bottom pusher. The hands will pause to allow you to read the elapsed time, while the chronograph continues to measure in the background. Press the bottom pusher again to allow the hands to catch up to the internally kept time.
- Pou sispann: Press the top pusher.
- Otomatik kanpe: If left running, the chronograph will automatically stop after 4 hours to conserve battery life.
- Pou Reyajiste: With the chronograph stopped, press the bottom pusher. All three chronograph hands will return to their starting (zero) positions.
Recalibrating Chronograph Hands
If the chronograph hands are not aligned exactly at zero after a reset, they can be recalibrated:
- To Align the Chronograph Minute Hand (10 o'clock): Pull the crown out one click to the first position. Hold the bottom pusher down to quickly advance the hand. Tap the bottom pusher for incremental adjustments.
- To Align the Chronograph Second Hand (Main dial): Pull the crown out two clicks to the second position. Hold the top pusher down to quickly advance the hand. Tap the top pusher for incremental adjustments.
- To Align the 1/10th Second Dial (2 o'clock): Pull the crown out two clicks to the second position. Hold the bottom pusher down to quickly advance the hand. Tap the bottom pusher for incremental adjustments.
Once all chronograph hands are aligned to zero, push the crown back to its original position.

- Pou mete tan an: Pull the crown out two clicks to the second position. Turn the crown in either direction until the hour and minute hands display the current time.
- To Set the Date: Pull the crown out one click to the first position. Turn the crown to advance only the hour hand. The hour hand will need to pass 12 o'clock twice for the date to change. Once the date changes, the watch is in the AM hours. Continue to advance the hour hand until the correct date and AM/PM time are set.
Limyè Endiglo
- To Activate Indiglo: Simply press in on the crown to illuminate the dial.
- To Activate Night Mode: Press and hold the crown for approximately 4 seconds. The dial will flash, indicating Night Mode is activated. For the next 4 hours, the Indiglo backlight will activate for several seconds whenever the crown or any pusher is pressed.
- To Deactivate Night Mode: Press and hold the crown for approximately 4 seconds again.

Your Timex Chicago Chronograph watch is water resistant to 50 meters (165 feet). This rating generally makes it suitable for short periods of recreational swimming. However, it is not recommended for diving or snorkeling. To maintain water resistance, do not press any buttons underwater unless your watch is specifically indicated as 200-meter water resistant.
