3.1. Guide Bar and Chain Installation
- Ensure the engine is off and the chain brake is engaged.
- Remove the chain cover by loosening the two nuts.
- Place the chain around the sprocket and guide bar, ensuring the cutting edges face forward on the top side of the bar.
- Mount the guide bar onto the studs, aligning the chain tensioner pin with the hole in the guide bar.
- Replace the chain cover and hand-tighten the nuts. Do not fully tighten yet.

- Using the tensioning screw, adjust the chain tension. The chain should be snug against the guide bar, but still able to be pulled freely by hand.
