2. Watch Components Overview
Familiarize yourself with the key components of your Timex Chicago Chronograph watch:
- Kadran prensipal: Displays the primary time (hours, minutes).
- Sou-kadran: Three smaller dials for chronograph functions and the running second hand for time of day.
- Kouwòn: Located at the 3 o'clock position, used for setting time and date.
- Pouse: Two buttons located above and below the crown, used to operate the chronograph functions.

3. Mete Tan ak Dat
To ensure your watch displays the correct time and date, follow these steps:

- Turn the crown in either direction until the hour and minute hands display the current time.

The sub-dial at 10 o'clock measures elapsed minutes (up to 30 minutes), and the sub-dial at 2 o'clock measures elapsed 1/10th of a second.

4.1. Starting and Stopping the Chronograph

- To resume the chronograph and catch up to the ongoing time, press the pouse anba again. The hands will quickly advance to the current elapsed time.
4.3. Resetting the Chronograph
After stopping the chronograph, you can reset it to zero:
- Ensure the chronograph is stopped (press the top pusher if it's running).
- Peze a pouse anba. All three chronograph hands will return to their starting (zero) positions.
5. Indiglo Backlight Feature
Your Timex watch is equipped with the Indiglo backlight for illumination in low-light conditions.
5.1. Activating Indiglo
- To illuminate the dial, simply press in on the kouwòn. The backlight will activate for a few seconds.
5.2. Mòd lannwit
Night Mode keeps the Indiglo backlight active for several seconds whenever the crown or any pusher is pressed, for a duration of four hours.

7.1. Chronograph Hands Not Aligning to Zero
If, after resetting, the chronograph hands (main second hand, minute sub-dial at 10 o'clock, or 1/10th second sub-dial at 2 o'clock) do not return precisely to the 12 o'clock (zero) position, they may need recalibration:
- Calibrating the Chronograph Minute Hand (10 o'clock sub-dial):
- Pull the crown out one click to the first position.

- Align the minute hand to the 12 o'clock (zero) position.
