The Live Gamer Bolt is designed for content creators, enabling the capture of uncompressed 4K HDR video at 60 frames per second (FPS) or up to 240 FPS in Full HD. It utilizes Thunderbolt 3 technology for high-speed data transfer and low-latency performance.

Additional Mac Notes:
- HDR recording is not supported on Mac.
- Preset color space is NV12.
- A Thunderbolt 3 cable and port are required.

4.1. Connecting the Live Gamer Bolt
- Konekte ak Sous la: Use an HDMI 2.0 cable to connect your gaming console (e.g., PS4 Pro, PS5, Xbox Series X/S) or other video source to the HDMI-AN port on the Live Gamer Bolt.
- Konekte ak Display: Use another HDMI 2.0 cable to connect your display (TV or monitor) to the HDMI SOTI port on the Live Gamer Bolt. This provides pass-through video.
- Konekte ak òdinatè: Use the provided Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect the Live Gamer Bolt to a native Thunderbolt 3 port on your Windows or macOS computer. Enpòtan: The device does not support USB Type-C, USB 3.1, 3.0, or 2.0 ports.
- Koneksyon odyo (Si ou vle): If desired, connect the 3.5mm audio cable for additional audio input/output.

After connecting the hardware, install the necessary software and drivers from the AVerMedia official website. The Live Gamer Bolt is compatible with AVerMedia's RECentral 4 software, as well as third-party streaming applications such as OBS, Streamlabs, and XSplit.

If you encounter issues with your Live Gamer Bolt, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Device Not Detected / No Signal:
- Ensure the Thunderbolt 3 cable is securely connected to a native Thunderbolt 3 port on your computer. The device is not compatible with standard USB-C ports.
- Verify that the HDMI IN and HDMI OUT cables are correctly connected and securely seated.
- Check your computer's Device Manager (Windows) or System Information (macOS) to confirm the device is recognized.
- Update your computer's Thunderbolt 3 drivers and the Live Gamer Bolt's firmware/drivers from the AVerMedia websit.
- No HDR Recording on Mac:
- HDR recording is not supported on macOS platforms with the Live Gamer Bolt. This is a known limitation.
- Incompatibility with Apple M1/M2 CPUs:
- The Live Gamer Bolt is not compatible with Apple Silicon (M1 or M2) platforms. Ensure you are using an Intel-based Mac that meets the system requirements.
- HDR Issues with HDMI Switches/Matrices:
- Some HDMI switches, matrices, or receivers may interfere with HDR signal passthrough, especially at higher chroma subsampling rates (e.g., 4K60Hz 4:4:4). Try connecting the console directly to the Live Gamer Bolt, bypassing intermediate devices, or adjust the output settings of your source device to a lower chroma subsampling if necessary.
- HDCP Detection Issues:
- If you encounter issues with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection) preventing capture, check the settings within AVerMedia RECentral 4. There may be an option to disable HDCP detection for certain scenarios.
- Device Stops Working / Overheating / Fan Noise:
