Enstriksyon Operasyon

Basic Cable Testing:

The Scout Pro 3 tests voice (RJ11/12), data (RJ45), and video (coax F-connector) terminated cables. The backlit LCD screen displays cable length, wiremap, cable ID, and test results.

1. Connect one end of the cable to be tested to the appropriate port on the Scout Pro 3 Tester (RJ45, RJ11/12, or F-connector).
2. For end-to-end testing, connect the other end of the cable to a corresponding remote (LanMap for RJ45, CoaxMap for F-connector).
3. Press the test button on the Scout Pro 3. The display will show the test results, including any faults (Open, Short, Miswire, or Split-Pair).

The tester can measure cable length up to 2000 feet (610 m). After connecting the cable and initiating a test, the length will be displayed on the LCD screen.

Using Locator Remotes:

The kit includes five LanMap RJ45 and five CoaxMap F-connector location remotes. These allow for mapping and identification of multiple cable runs in a single step, streamlining cable management and organization.

Hub Blink Mode:

The Hub Blink mode helps identify port locations on a hub or switch, facilitating efficient network management. Activate this mode on the tester and observe the corresponding port's LED activity on the network device.

Cable Tracing (Optional):

The Scout Pro 3 features a multiple style tone generator to trace cables, wire pairs, and individual conductor wires. This function requires an analog probe (e.g., Klein Tools Cat. No. VDV500-123), which is sold separately.
