- Assemble the stand components according to the diagrams provided in the separate assembly guide.
- Asire w tout boulon ak eleman fikse yo byen sere.
- Attach the band saw unit to the assembled stand, ensuring it is stable and level.
3.2 Saw Blade Installation and Tensioning
- Dekonekte pouvwa. Open the upper and lower blade covers.
- Carefully place the saw blade around the upper and lower band wheels, ensuring the teeth are pointing downwards towards the table.
- Adjust the blade tension knob (usually located at the top of the saw) until the blade is taut but not overly tight. The blade should deflect slightly when pressed gently.
- Adjust the blade tracking so the blade runs centrally on the band wheels.
- Close the blade covers.
3.3 Blade Guide Adjustment
Properly adjusted blade guides are crucial for accurate cuts and blade longevity.

Figi 3.1: Ball-bearing blade guides ensuring smooth and stable blade operation during cutting.
- Adjust the upper blade guide assembly so it is approximately 3-6 mm above the workpiece.
- Ensure the side guides are close to the blade but not touching, allowing the blade to run freely.
- The thrust bearing (behind the blade) should be just behind the blade, not touching when the blade is idle, but supporting it during cutting.
3.4 Rip Fence and Cross-Cut Gauge Installation
Install the rip fence onto the saw table. The double-sided guided rip fence can be easily locked with its quick-release fastener for precise straight cuts.

Figi 3.2: Illustration of the HBS400's double-sided guided rip fence, which ensures greater precision compared to conventional single-sided fences.
The cross-cut gauge slides into the miter slot on the table and is used for making accurate cross-cuts and angled cuts.
4. Operasyon Enstriksyon
4.1 Limen/Etenyen
- To turn on the saw, press the green "ON" button.
- To turn off the saw, press the red "OFF" button.
- Always allow the blade to reach full speed before beginning a cut.
4.2 Selecting Blade Speed
The HBS400 offers two blade speeds (360 m/min and 720 m/min). Select the appropriate speed based on the material being cut. Slower speeds are generally for harder materials or intricate cuts, while faster speeds are for softer woods and general ripping.
