4. Enstalasyon ak Enstalasyon
Follow these steps for proper installation of the water flow sensor:
- Kote montaj: Choose a location in your water line where the sensor can be easily accessed for wiring and maintenance. Ensure the sensor is installed in the correct flow direction.
- Direksyon koule: The sensor has an arrow molded into its body indicating the direction of water flow. Ensure the sensor is installed so that water flows in the direction of this arrow.
- Koneksyon fil: The sensor features G1/2" BSPT male threads. Connect it to compatible G1/2" female threads in your plumbing system.
- Fermeture: For a watertight seal, apply appropriate thread seal tape (e.g., PTFE tape) to the sensor's threads before connecting. If connecting to NPT threads, thread seal tape is essential to prevent leaks.
- Koneksyon an sekirite: Hand-tighten the connections, then use a wrench for a final snug fit. Avoid over-tightening, which can damage the threads or sensor body.

5. Dyagram fil elektrik
The DIGITEN FL408-1ZJ water flow sensor has a three-wire connection. Connect the wires as follows:
- Fil wouj: Connect to VCC (+) (DC 5-18V power supply).
- Fil nwa: Connect to GND (-) (Ground).
- Fil jòn: Connect to Signal Output (Pulse signal to your microcontroller or data acquisition system).
Asire ekipman pou pouvwa a voltage is within the specified range of DC 5-18V. The maximum current should not exceed 10 mA.
6. Prensip Operasyon yo
This sensor operates on the Hall effect principle. Inside the sensor, a small turbine rotates as water flows through it. A magnet attached to the turbine passes a Hall effect sensor, generating a series of electrical pulses. The frequency of these pulses is directly proportional to the water flow rate.
The output frequency (F) can be calculated using the formula:
F = 7.5 * Q (L/min) ± 2%
Ki kote:
- F is the output pulse frequency in Hz.
- Q is the water flow rate in Liters per Minute (L/min).
This means for every liter of water that passes through the sensor, approximately 450 pulses are generated (450 pulses/liter).
The output signal is a square wave, which can be easily read by microcontrollers like Arduino or Raspberry Pi to determine the flow rate.
7. Antretyen
The DIGITEN FL408-1ZJ water flow sensor is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. However, adhering to the following guidelines can help ensure its longevity and accurate performance:
- Enspeksyon regilye: Periodically check the sensor and its connections for any signs of leaks or physical damage.
- Lapwòpte: While the sensor is designed for water, excessive sediment or debris in the water can potentially affect the turbine's rotation. If flow readings become erratic, consider inspecting the sensor for blockages.
- Kondisyon anviwònman: Ensure the sensor operates within its specified temperature and humidity ranges to prevent damage.
- Entegrite fil elektrik: Verifye ke tout koneksyon elektrik yo rete byen fèm epi san korozyon.
NAN. Depanaj
If you encounter issues with your DIGITEN water flow sensor, consider the following troubleshooting steps:
- Pa gen Siyal Sòti:
- Check power connections (Red to VCC, Black to GND) and ensure the power supply is within DC 5-18V.
- Verify that water is actually flowing through the sensor.
- Confirm the sensor is installed in the correct flow direction (indicated by the arrow).
- Inspect the yellow signal wire for continuity and proper connection to your reading device.
- Lekti ki pa kòrèk:
- Ensure the flow rate is within the specified range of 1-30 L/min.
- Check for air bubbles or turbulence in the water line, which can affect accuracy.
- Verify that your microcontroller's pulse counting logic correctly implements the F = 7.5 * Q formula.
- Inspect the sensor for any internal blockages or debris that might impede the turbine's rotation.
- Fwit nan Koneksyon yo:
- Ensure sufficient thread seal tape was applied.
- Check if connections are adequately tightened without over-tightening.
- Verify compatibility between G1/2" BSPT sensor threads and your plumbing system's threads.
