The IntelliShock 20 is a dual-purpose energizer, capable of operating on either 110V AC power or 12V DC battery power.
1. Monte Energizer la
Mount the energizer in a dry, sheltered location, away from direct sunlight and moisture. Ensure it is easily accessible for connections and monitoring.

2. Grounding System Installation
A proper grounding system is crucial for effective and safe operation. Install at least one 6-foot (1.8m) galvanized ground rod a minimum of 10 feet (3m) from any building foundations or other grounding systems. Connect the energizer's ground terminal (black terminal) to the ground rod using insulated wire.
3. Fence Connection
Connect the energizer's fence terminal (red terminal) to your electric fence line. Ensure all fence connections are secure and insulated to prevent power loss.

Choose your power source:
- 110V AC Operation: Plug the 110V AC adapter into the energizer and then into a standard wall outlet.
- 12V DC Battery Operation: Connect the 12V battery leads to a 12V deep-cycle battery (not included). Ensure correct polarity (red to positive, black to negative).
The energizer adapts between AC and DC power in seconds, offering flexibility for various setups.

Once properly installed and connected, the energizer will begin to pulse. A flashing indicator light (if present) typically confirms operation. The IntelliShock 20 automatically adjusts battery draw-down by up to 80% when the fence is not heavily loaded by weeds or shorts, extending battery life, especially in dormant seasons.
The energizer is designed to power:
- Up to 2.5 miles of 3-strand cattle fence.
- Up to 0.75 miles of 6-strand sheep fence.
- Up to 16 rolls of 164' sheep/goat nets.
- Up to 6-8 rolls of 164' poultry nets.
