The Icom R6 Sport is a versatile and compact receiver designed for wideband frequency coverage, offering superior sensitivity and resistance to interference. It is capable of receiving a broad range of communications, including amateur radio, AM/FM broadcasts, shortwave, and various utility signals.

Enstalasyon
1. Enstalasyon batri
The Icom R6 requires two (2) AA alkaline batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting the batteries into the compartment located on the rear of the unit. Close the battery cover securely.
2. Antèn Koneksyon
Screw the supplied antenna (FA-S270C) clockwise onto the antenna connector at the top of the receiver until it is finger-tight. Do not overtighten.
3. Premye Limen

1. Frequency Tuning
Use the large rotary knob at the top of the unit to adjust the frequency. Alternatively, use the Up epi Desann arrow buttons on the front panel for step-by-step tuning.

Peze a MODE SCAN button to cycle through available reception modes (e.g., FM, AM). The current mode is displayed on the LCD.
3. Scanning Functions
The R6 offers various scanning capabilities:
- VFO Scan: Scans continuously within the selected frequency range.

- Bank Link Scan: Allows scanning of selected memory banks.
To initiate a scan, press the MODE SCAN button until 'SCAN' appears, or refer to the detailed instructions in the full manual for specific scan types.
4. Memory Channel Programming
The receiver has 1300 alphanumeric memory channels. Programming can be complex via the front panel. It is highly recommended to use optional PC programming software and a cable for easier management of memory channels and settings. Consult the full manual for manual programming steps.
5. Voice Squelch Control (VSC)
The VSC function automatically opens the squelch only when a modulated signal is detected, effectively reducing noise from unmodulated beat signals. This is particularly useful when scanning for voice communications.

When the battery indicator on the LCD shows low power, replace both AA batteries promptly to ensure continuous operation. Always use fresh, high-quality alkaline batteries.

If storing the unit for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage and corrosion. Store the receiver in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

The Icom R6 Sport is water resistant. However, it is not waterproof. Avoid submerging the unit in water or exposing it to heavy rain. Ensure all covers and ports are securely closed to maintain water resistance.
