- Turn on Cold Water: Before activating the disposer, turn on a strong stream of cold water. This helps flush food waste and keeps the grinding chamber cool.
- Activate Disposer: Turn on the disposer switch.
- Feed Food Waste: Gradually feed food waste into the disposer opening. Avoid overloading the unit.
- Continue Water Flow: Allow the cold water to run for at least 15-20 seconds after the grinding stops to ensure all waste is flushed through the drain.
- Turn Off Disposer: Turn off the disposer switch.
