2. Connecting the Terminal

The VX520 offers various connectivity options. Ensure the communication port area is clear for neat cable management.

The VX520 uses thermal paper rolls for printing receipts.

Open the printer cover by lifting the latch.
Insert the thermal paper roll with the paper feeding from the bottom and the leading edge extending towards the front of the terminal.
Close the printer cover firmly until it clicks into place, leaving a small amount of paper protruding.

1. Powering On / Off

2. Processing Transactions

Magnetic Stripe Cards: Swipe the card through the magnetic stripe reader slot on the side of the terminal with the stripe facing the terminal.
EMV Chip Cards: Insert the chip card into the slot at the bottom front of the terminal with the chip facing up. Leave the card in the slot until the transaction is complete and the terminal prompts you to remove it.
Contactless Payments (Optional): Tap the contactless card or compatible mobile device near the contactless reader symbol on the top of the terminal.

After a transaction is approved, the terminal will typically prompt to print a merchant copy and then a customer copy. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the printing process.
