4.3 Connecting to a Cable Box or Digital Converter Box

To record from an external source like a cable box or digital converter box, use the AV IN connections:

• Connect an S-Video cable from the S-Video OUT of your cable/converter box to the S-VIDEO IN on the Insignia unit.
• Connect RCA audio cables (red/white) from the Audio OUT of your cable/converter box to the AV IN AUDIO jacks on the Insignia unit.
• Alternatively, use composite video (yellow RCA) from the Video OUT of your cable/converter box to the AV IN VIDEO jack on the Insignia unit.
