The Fairfield Circuitry Randy's Revenge is an all-analog ring modulator pedal designed for guitar and other instruments. It features a pure sine wave oscillator and a low-pass filter, offering a wide range of sonic possibilities from subtle tremolo and vibe effects to thick bells, tuned intervals, and synth-like textures. Its expanded control voltage (CV) capabilities allow for advanced integration with other CV-capable devices.

Enstalasyon

- MIX: Controls the blend between the dry (unaffected) signal and the wet (ring modulated) signal. Turn clockwise for more modulated effect.
- FREQ: Adjusts the frequency of the internal sine wave oscillator. Lower frequencies create tremolo/vibe effects, while higher frequencies produce bell-like tones, tuned intervals, and synth sounds. This control is voltage-controllable via the CV input.
- LPF (Filtè Low-Pass): Controls the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter. Experimenting with this knob allows for shaping the tone from strange to subtle. This control is also voltage-controllable via the CV input.
- SQ/SI Switch: Toggles between Square wave and Sine wave modulation. The internal oscillator is pure sine wave.
- Chanjman HI/LO: Selects the frequency range for the oscillator. "LO" provides lower frequencies suitable for tremolo and vibe effects, while "HI" accesses higher frequencies for ring modulation and synth-like sounds.
- Footswitch: Engages or bypasses the effect. The LED indicator illuminates when the effect is active.

- Ensure the pedal is properly connected to power and your audio chain.
- Press the footswitch to activate the effect (LED will light up).
- Start with the MIX knob at 12 o'clock, VOLUME to taste, and FREQ/LPF at a moderate setting.
- Experiment with the FREQ knob to explore different modulation speeds (LO range) or harmonic content (HI range).
- Adjust the LPF knob to filter the modulated sound, making it brighter or darker.
- Use the MIX knob to blend the desired amount of the ring modulated signal with your dry signal.
Advanced CV Capabilities:
The Randy's Revenge offers extensive CV integration. Both the oscillator frequency (FREQ) and the low-pass filter frequency (LPF) are voltage-controllable. The internal oscillator can also be used as a stand-alone voltage-controlled oscillator (VCO) via an output, allowing Randy's Revenge to control or be controlled by other CV-capable devices.
