1. Introduction to the Korg GA-1 Guitar and Bass Tuner

The Korg GA-1 is a highly accurate and functional tuner designed for both guitar and bass players. Its ultra-compact design makes it an ideal companion for musicians on the go. 3.1. Enstalasyon batri

The Korg GA-1 operates on two AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:

3.2. Powering On / Off

4.1. Selecting Instrument Mode (Guitar/Bass)

Guitar mode supports 7B through 1E. Bass mode supports low-B through Hi-C, including 6-string and 7-string basses.

4.2. Tuning Your Instrument

The GA-1 offers two methods for tuning: direct input or using the built-in microphone.

4.2.1. Direct Input Tuning (Electric Instruments)

For electric guitars and basses, connect your instrument directly to the GA-1 using a standard 1/4-inch instrument cable.

  1. Plug one end of a 1/4-inch instrument cable into your instrument's output jack.
  2. Plug the other end into the Antre jack on the right side of the GA-1 tuner.
  3. Pluck a single string on your instrument. The GA-1 will automatically detect the note.
  4. Observe the LCD display and LED indicators:
    • La LCD needle-type meter will show if the note is flat, sharp, or in tune.
    • La red LED on the left indicates the note is flat.
    • La red LED on the right indicates the note is sharp.
    • La green LED in the center indicates the note is perfectly in tune.
  5. Adjust your instrument's tuning peg until the green LED illuminates and the LCD needle is centered.

4.2.2. Built-in Microphone Tuning (Acoustic Instruments)

For acoustic guitars, basses, or other acoustic instruments, use the GA-1's high-sensitivity built-in microphone.

  1. Place the GA-1 near the sound source of your acoustic instrument.
  2. Pluck a single string or play a note. The tuner will pick up the sound via its microphone.
  3. Follow the same LCD and LED indicator guidance as for direct input tuning to adjust your instrument.

4.3. Flat Tuning Mode (Quinta Flat)

The Quinta Flat Tuning mode allows you to tune your instrument down by 1 to 5 semitones (half steps), which is useful for various musical styles requiring lowered tunings.

  1. While in Guitar or Bass mode, press the PLAT button repeatedly to select the desired number of semitones to tune down (b, bb, bbb, bbbb, bbbbb).
  2. The flat symbol(s) will appear on the LCD display, indicating the active flat tuning setting.
  3. Tune your instrument as usual, and the GA-1 will guide you to the correct lowered pitch.

4.4. Sound Out Function

The Sound Out function allows the GA-1 to emit a reference tone, which can be used for manual tuning by ear or for ear training exercises.

  1. Peze a SON button. The GA-1 will emit a reference tone through its internal speaker.
  2. Peze a G/B button to cycle through the available reference notes (E, A, D, G, B, E for guitar; E, A, D, G for bass).
  3. Adjust your instrument's pitch to match the emitted tone.

4.5. Using the Tilt-Slit

For convenient hands-free viewing, the GA-1 features a tilt-slit on its rear panel.

  1. Insert a standard guitar pick into the tilt-slit on the back of the unit.
  2. This will allow the tuner to stand upright on a flat surface, providing an optimal viewing angle for the display.
