- 1 CR2 ityòm batri
- Mounting hardware (screws, adhesive tape)
Enstalasyon ak Enstalasyon
Proper installation is crucial for optimal performance. Ensure your alarm system is in test mode before beginning installation to avoid false alarms.
1. Enstalasyon batri
- Louvri c la avèk atansyonasing of the WS4945 unit.
- Insert the provided CR2 lithium battery into the battery compartment, observing correct polarity (+/-).
- Fèmen casing byen fèm.
2. Enstalasyon Capteur a
The WS4945 is designed for wall mount installation on doors or windows. The main unit (transmitter) and the magnet must be mounted in close proximity, typically within 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) when the door/window is closed.
- Identify a suitable location on the door/window frame and the moving part (door/window) where the sensor and magnet can be aligned.
- Use the included screws or adhesive tape to securely attach the main sensor unit to the frame.
- Attach the magnet to the moving part of the door or window, ensuring it aligns with the marked area on the sensor when closed.

3. External Contact Input (Optional)
The WS4945 includes a normally closed external contact input, allowing for the connection of an additional wired sensor.
- Locate the external contact terminals inside the WS4945 casing.
- Connect the wires from your external normally closed sensor to these terminals.
- Ensure connections are secure before closing the casing.
4. System Enrollment/Programming
To integrate the WS4945 with your alarm system, it must be enrolled or programmed. This process typically requires the installer code for your alarm panel.
- Refer to your alarm system's main control panel manual for specific instructions on enrolling new wireless devices.
- Typically, you will enter the installer programming mode (*8 followed by the installer code).
- Navigate to the zone programming section and follow the prompts to learn the new sensor. This often involves activating the sensor (e.g., opening and closing the door/window) to transmit its unique serial number.
- Assign the sensor to the appropriate zone and configure its attributes (e.g., door/window, delay, chime).
- Exit programming mode and test the sensor's functionality.
Operasyon
The DSC WS4945 operates as a contact sensor. When the protected door or window is closed, the magnet is in close proximity to the main sensor unit, indicating a secure state. When the door or window is opened, the magnet moves away from the sensor, breaking the contact. This change in state is detected by the WS4945, which then transmits a signal to your alarm control panel.
- Eta Fèmen: Magnet is adjacent to the sensor.
- Eta Ouvè: Magnet is separated from the sensor, triggering a signal transmission.
- Tampdeteksyon: Si c laasing is opened or the unit is removed from its mounting surface, a tamper signal will be sent to the alarm panel.
Antretyen
Ranplasman batri
The WS4945 uses one CR2 lithium battery. When the battery voltage drops, your alarm system will typically indicate a low battery condition for the specific zone. Replace the battery promptly to ensure continuous operation.
- Place your alarm system in test mode to prevent false alarms during battery replacement.
- Louvri detèktè c laasing.
- Retire ansyen batri CR2 la.
- Insert a new CR2 lithium battery, ensuring correct polarity.
- Fèmen casing byen fèm.
- Test the sensor to confirm it is communicating with the alarm panel.
Netwayaj
Clean the exterior of the sensor with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the casing oswa konpozan entèn yo.
Depanaj
- Sensor Not Responding / False Alerts:
- Tcheke nivo batri a epi ranplase si sa nesesè.
- Ensure the magnet is properly aligned with the sensor and within the recommended gap when the door/window is closed.
- Verify the sensor is securely mounted and not loose.
- Confirm the sensor is correctly enrolled in your alarm system. Re-enroll if issues persist.
- Consider the polling interval setting on your alarm panel; a very short interval might cause intermittent "no response" alerts in some systems.
- TampYon Alèt:
- Ensure the sensor casing is fully closed and latched.
- Verify the unit is securely mounted to the wall/frame.
- External Contact Input Not Working:
- Check wiring connections to the external contact terminals for security and correct polarity.
- Test the external sensor independently to ensure it is functioning correctly.
