I have Rexton rechargeable hearing aids. I also had the Rexton app installed on my smartphone. I use the directional sector to focus on where I want to hear the best (i.e., restaurants, social gatherings, TV and etc.) sound.
I have question and, I believe, an resolvable issue. My question: Do I need to my my smartphone with me at all times in order to use the directional setting? Or, can I set the directional setting at home and then leave my smartphone at home?
Issue: when I set the direction setting to where I want to hear the best sound it works great for approximately 10 minutes and then goes back to the “general” setting whereby I hear all sounds from every direction. The directional setting doesn’t seem to hold the original request/setting for more than 10 minutes. Should I be doing something different so that the directional setting on my Rexton app stays permanent until I physically make a directional change?

How do I keep the directional hearing setting from reverting to general after 10 minutes, and do I need my phone with me to maintain this setting?

If the setting continues to revert, it may be a programmed safety or "Automatic" feature set by your hearing care professional. You can use the Pwofesyonèl (TeleCare) section of the app to send a message to your dispenser to ask if they can extend the duration of manual overrides in your specific device programming.
