This setup uses Relay CH1 to control a water pump for adding water and Relay CH2 to control a heater for anti-dry boiling protection.
- Relay CH1 (Water Pump - Add Water): Starts adding water when the level is <20% (0% display) and stops when it reaches 100%.
- Relay CH2 (Heater - Anti-Dry Boiling Protection): Turns on the heater when the water level is ≥25% and turns it off if the level drops below 20% to prevent dry boiling.

5. App Operation and Settings
The KONLEN Smart Water Level Controller is managed via the Tuya Smart or Smart Life App. The app provides real-time water level display, control over relay outputs, and alarm settings.

Image: Screenshot of the KONLEN Liquid Level Controller app interface, highlighting various controls and indicators such as Switch 1 (Relay CH1), Switch 2 (Relay CH2), Work Mode, CH2 Function, Level settings, Alarms, Limited Time, Ch1 Delay, Sensor Status, and Main Switch.
5.1 Water Level Display
The App displays the current water level in real-time, mirroring the LED indicators on the controller. The display stages are 0%, 20%, 40%, 60%, 80%, and 100%.
5.2 Relay CH1 Control Modes (Water Pump)
Relay CH1 is typically connected to a water pump for controlling water addition or drainage. The following work modes can be configured in the App:
- Add Water Mode:
When water level ≤ 'Level On1' (start-up level), Relay 1 connects to start adding water.
When water level ≥ 'Level Off1' (stop level), Relay 1 disconnects to stop adding water.
Image: App screenshot showing the settings for 'Add' work mode, with 'Level On1' set to 20% and 'Level Off1' set to 100%.
- Drain Water Mode:
When water level ≥ 'Level On1' (start-up level), Relay 1 connects to start draining water.
When water level ≤ 'Level Off1' (stop level), Relay 1 disconnects to stop draining water.
Image: App screenshot showing the settings for 'Drain' work mode, with 'Level On1' set to 100% and 'Level Off1' set to 0%.
- Time-Limited Adding Water Mode:
When water level ≤ 'Level On1' (start-up level), Relay 1 connects and a timer starts. Relay 1 will automatically disconnect after the 'Limited Time' (set in minutes) has elapsed, stopping water addition.
Image: App screenshot showing the settings for 'Add_limited' work mode, with 'Limited Time' set to 60 minutes.
- Time-Limited Draining Water Mode:
When water level ≥ 'Level On1' (start-up level), Relay 1 connects and a timer starts. Relay 1 will automatically disconnect after the 'Limited Time' (set in minutes) has elapsed, stopping water drainage.
Image: App screenshot showing the settings for 'Drain_limited' work mode, with 'Limited Time' set to 120 minutes.
A 'Ch1 Delay' setting (0 to 300 seconds) is also available for Relay CH1.
5.3 Relay CH2 Function Options
Relay CH2 offers supplementary functions and can be configured with the following options:
- Manyèl: Allows manual control of Relay CH2.
- Alam: Connect a siren or flash light for local high/low water level alarms.
- L_On, H_Off (Low Level On, High Level Off): Relay CH2 turns on when the water level is low and turns off when it's high.
- L_Off, H_On (Low Level Off, High Level On): Relay CH2 turns off when the water level is low and turns on when it's high.
These options allow CH2 to control a second water pump for adding/draining or to connect a heater for anti-dry boiling protection.
5.4 High & Low Water Level Alert Settings
The controller supports flexible high and low water level alerts:
- Alam Remote: App push notifications for high and/or low water levels.
- Alam Buzzer: Activates the built-in buzzer (F) for local alerts.
- External Siren: If Relay CH2 is set to 'Alarm' mode and connected to a siren, it will activate for local alerts.
You can choose to enable alarms for only high water level, only low water level, or both. The specific low and high alarm levels can be set in the App (e.g., Low Level Alarm: 20%, High Level Alarm: 80%).

Image: App screenshot showing a 'High Alarm' notification, indicating the water level is above the upper limit.

Image: App screenshot showing a 'Low Alarm' notification, indicating the water level is below the lower limit.
5.5 Main Switch (Emergency Setting)
The 'Main Switch' (No.17 in the App interface) is an emergency setting. If a water pump or water probe malfunctions, you can set this switch to 'Off' to temporarily disable both relays. The water level display will continue to function normally, allowing for monitoring even when control is paused.
6. Antretyen
To ensure optimal performance and longevity of your KONLEN Smart Water Level Controller, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Netwayaj regilye: Periodically inspect and clean the water level probes to prevent mineral buildup or debris from affecting their accuracy.
- Enspeksyon fil elektrik: Routinely check all wiring connections for any signs of wear, corrosion, or loose terminals. Ensure connections are secure.
- Mizajou lojisyèl: Keep the Tuya Smart or Smart Life App updated to the latest version to benefit from new features, improvements, and security patches.
- Kondisyon anviwònman: Ensure the controller is operated within its specified working environment temperature range (-10℃ to 50℃) and protected from excessive moisture or direct sunlight.
- Pwovizyon pou pouvwa: Verify that the power supply to the controller is stable and within the specified voltage range (AC90V-250V or DC5V, depending on your version).
NAN. Depanaj
If you encounter issues with your water level controller, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Controller Not Responding/No Power:
Check the power supply connection to terminals 11 and 12. Ensure the correct voltage version (AC or DC) is used.
Verifye ke priz kouran an fonksyone. - Incorrect Water Level Readings:
Inspect the water level probes for any dirt, scale, or damage. Clean them if necessary.
Ensure all probe connections to terminals 1-6 are secure and correctly wired.
Check if the 'Sensor Status' in the App shows 'OK'. - Pump/Valve Not Activating/Deactivating:
Verify the wiring of the pump/valve to Relay Output 1 (terminals 7,8) or Relay Output 2 (terminals 9,10). Remember these are dry contacts (no voltage pwodiksyon).
Check the App settings for the respective relay (CH1 or CH2) to ensure the 'Work Mode' and 'Level On/Off' thresholds are correctly configured.
Ensure the 'Main Switch' (No.17 in App) is set to 'On'.
If controlling large loads (over 2000W resistive or 500W inductive), confirm an AC contactor is installed as recommended. - Pa gen Notifikasyon Aplikasyon/Kontwòl Adistans:
Ensure the controller is connected to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (5GHz networks are not supported).
Check your smartphone's internet connection and App notification settings.
Verify that the 'Remote Alarm' setting in the App is enabled for high and/or low water levels. - Buzzer/Siren Not Sounding:
If using the built-in buzzer, ensure 'Buzzer Alarm' is enabled in the App.
If using an external siren, verify its connection to Relay CH2 and that CH2's function is set to 'Alarm'.
If the issue persists after following these steps, contact customer support for further assistance.
