4.2 Motor Installation (if purchased separately)

If you have purchased the EDF unit and motor separately, or need to re-install the motor:

  1. Align the motor with the EDF housing. Ensure the motor shaft passes through the center of the fan.
  2. Secure the motor to the EDF housing using appropriate screws. Do not overtighten.
  3. Verify that the fan blades rotate freely without any obstruction or rubbing against the duct walls.

  2. Follow your ESC's instructions for throttle range calibration. This typically involves powering on the transmitter with full throttle, then connecting the battery, waiting for beeps, moving throttle to zero, and waiting for confirmation beeps.
  3. Slowly advance the throttle to ensure the motor spins up smoothly and in the correct direction for thrust. If the direction is incorrect, swap any two of the three motor-to-ESC wires.
