Foxwell T1000 showing three programming methods: Automatic Create, Manual Create, and Clone By Activation.

Figure 8: Three Programming Methods

5.4.1. Method 1: Manual Create

This method allows you to manually input the sensor ID if you know the original sensor's ID.

  1. From the Main Menu, highlight 'TPMS' and select the vehicle model.
  2. Select 'Programming' -> 'Manual Create' from the menu.
  3. Input the 8-bit sensor ID (Hexadecimal) in the dialog box and press 'Y' to confirm.
  4. Place a new Foxwell T10/T20 sensor close to the device (0-20cm). The tool will program the new sensor with the entered ID.

5.4.2. Method 2: Clone by Activation

This method is used to clone an existing sensor's ID to a new Foxwell T10/T20 sensor, especially if the original sensor is still functional and can be activated.

  1. From the Main Menu, highlight 'TPMS' and select the vehicle model.
  2. Select 'Programming' -> 'Clone by Activation' from the menu.
  3. Place the T1000 tool near the original sensor to be copied and press 'Activate' to trigger it. The tool will read the original sensor's ID.
  4. Place a new Foxwell T10/T20 sensor in the sensor slot (or close to the top of the tool, 0-20cm) to program. The T1000 will automatically begin programming the new sensor with the cloned ID.
  5. Programming is completed when you view the sensor and tire data.

5.4.3. Method 3: Automatic Create (1-16 Sensors)

This method is useful if you don't know the original sensor ID or if your original sensor was faulty. It generates new, unique IDs for Foxwell T10/T20 sensors.

  1. From the Main Menu, highlight 'TPMS' and select the vehicle model.
  2. Select 'Programming' -> 'Automatic Create (1-16)' from the menu.
  3. Place 1 to 16 new Foxwell T10/T20 sensors close to the top of the tool (0-20cm).
  4. The T1000 automatically detects the sensors and generates new IDs.
  5. Programming is completed when you view the new sensor IDs and PSNs.

Konsèy: TPMS relearning is required after new sensors are programmed using the 'Automatic Create' method.

5.5. TPMS Sensor Relearn

After replacing or programming TPMS sensors, they must be relearned to the vehicle's ECU. The T1000 supports three types of relearn procedures:

Foxwell T1000 showing three TPMS relearn methods: Self Learning, Indirect Learning, and Static Learning.

Figure 10: Three Types of TPMS Relearn

5.5.1. Self Learning

The T1000 provides easy-to-follow on-screen instructions to simplify the auto-relearn process. For some vehicles, the relearn function can be completed automatically by driving the vehicle for a specified period, allowing the vehicle to learn single or multiple TPMS sensor IDs.

5.5.2. Indirect Learning

This method is typically performed within the vehicle's infotainment system or dashboard controls. The T1000 will guide you through the in-car procedure to reset the tire pressure light, especially when a direct TPMS sensor is not present (e.g., using ABS wheel speed sensors). The specific steps vary by vehicle model.

5.5.3. Static Learning

Static learning allows new TPMS sensor IDs to be transferred to the vehicle's ECU without driving. You can trigger the sensors using the T1000 when the vehicle is in learn mode, and the tool will facilitate the transfer of the new sensor IDs.

5.6. Key Fob Testing (315/433MHz)

The T1000 can precisely test 315MHz and 433MHz key fobs to ensure they are functioning correctly. This helps users quickly identify the key fob's condition with clear audio and visual indications.

  1. From the Main Menu, select 'RKE&RF' (Remote Keyless Entry & Radio Frequency).
  2. Choose 'Remote key frequency monitoring'.
  3. Press any button on the key fob. The T1000 will display the frequency signal strength.
