Netwayaj
To maintain the performance and longevity of your knife:
- Lave men sèlman: Clean the blade and handle with mild soap and water. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a soft cloth to prevent water spots and corrosion, especially for the D2 steel blade.
- Periodically clean the pivot area to remove debris that can hinder smooth action. Compressed air can be useful.
Lubrifikasyon
Apply a small drop of high-quality knife pivot lubricant to the pivot area occasionally to ensure smooth opening and closing action. Wipe off any excess lubricant.
File
The D2 steel blade holds an edge well. When sharpening is required, use appropriate sharpening stones or systems. Maintain the original blade angle for optimal performance. If you are not experienced in knife sharpening, consider professional sharpening services.
Depo
Store your knife in a dry environment. The included storage case is suitable for protecting the knife when not in use.
Depanaj
- Ouvèti/Fèmen rèd: If the blade action feels stiff, clean the pivot area thoroughly and apply a small amount of lubricant.
- Blade Play: If there is excessive side-to-side movement in the blade when open, the pivot screw may need slight tightening. Use the correct Torx bit and tighten incrementally, checking for smooth action after each adjustment. Do not overtighten.
- Corrosion/Rust Spots: D2 steel is highly corrosion-resistant but not entirely rust-proof. If rust spots appear, they can often be removed with a fine abrasive polish designed for steel. Ensure the knife is kept dry after use and cleaning.
