3.1 Unpacking and First Use Cleaning

- Before brewing coffee, operate the coffee maker with water only (no coffee grounds) at least once to clean the internal components. Fill the water reservoir to the "5 Cup" mark, place the empty filter basket with the GoldTone filter, and run a full brewing cycle. Discard the water.

- Plug the coffee maker into a standard 120V AC outlet. The display will flash "12:00".
- Peze a LÈ button to advance the hour. The time will advance quickly, then slowly. Ensure the correct AM/PM indicator is displayed.

- Once the desired time is set, stop pressing the buttons. The clock will set automatically after a few seconds.

- Add the desired amount of ground coffee into the filter. A general guideline is one level tablespoon of medium-coarse ground coffee per cup. Do not exceed 8 tablespoons.

- Peze a ON/AUTO/OFF button once. The red "ON" indicator light will illuminate, and brewing will begin.
- The Drip Stop feature allows you to remove the carafe for approximately 20 seconds to pour a cup before brewing is complete. Replace the carafe promptly to prevent overflow.
- Once brewing is complete, the coffee maker will automatically switch to the "Keep Warm" mode. The heating plate will keep the coffee warm for 2 hours, then automatically shut off.

4.2 Using the Programmable Timer (AUTO)
To program the coffee maker to start brewing at a specific time:
- Prepare the coffee maker for brewing as described in section 4.1 (fill water, add coffee grounds, place carafe).
- Peze a SET button once. The display will show "AUTO" and flash "12:00".
- Peze a LÈ button to set the desired auto-start hour. Observe the AM/PM indicator.
- Peze a MIN button to set the desired auto-start minutes.
- After setting the time, stop pressing buttons. The display will return to the current time after a few seconds, and the "AUTO" indicator will remain lit.
- At the programmed time, the "AUTO" indicator will turn off, the "ON" indicator will light up, and brewing will begin.
- To cancel the auto-start function, press the ON/AUTO/OFF button until the "AUTO" indicator light turns off.

5.2 Detartraj
Mineral deposits (limescale) from water can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance and coffee taste. Descale your coffee maker regularly, depending on water hardness and frequency of use (e.g., every 2-4 months).
- Prepare a descaling solution: Mix 2 tablespoons of white vinegar with 16 oz (2 cups) of water, or use a commercial descaling agent designed for coffee makers following its instructions.
