3. Lighter Components

Familiarize yourself with the main parts of your Lotus Dominator lighter:

  1. Ignition Button/Lever: Activates the butane flow and spark for ignition.

4.1. Fueling the Lighter

The Lotus Dominator lighter is shipped without fuel for safety reasons. It requires high-quality butane fuel (not included).

  1. Purge Air: Before refilling, it is essential to purge any residual air from the fuel tank. Invert the lighter and use a small screwdriver or a pen to depress the fuel refill valve until no more gas hisses out. This ensures a full and efficient refill.
  2. Select Butane: Use only premium, triple-refined or higher butane fuel. Impure butane can clog the lighter's jets.
  3. Ranpli: Invert the lighter and firmly press the butane canister nozzle straight down into the refill valve. Hold for approximately 5-10 seconds. Repeat 2-3 times, allowing a few seconds between each press for the fuel to settle.
  4. Tann: After refilling, allow the lighter to rest for 5-10 minutes before attempting to ignite. This allows the butane to reach room temperature and the internal pressure to stabilize.

Note: There is no fuel level indicator on this model. Monitor performance to determine when a refill is needed.

4.2. Adjusting the Flame

The flame height can be adjusted to suit your preference. The large flame adjuster is typically located at the base of the lighter.

  • Turn the adjuster towards the "+" symbol for a larger flame.
  • Turn the adjuster towards the "-" symbol for a smaller flame.

Adjust in small increments and test the flame after each adjustment.

5.1. Igniting the Lighter

  1. Ensure the lighter is adequately fueled and has rested for a few minutes after refilling.
  2. Hold the lighter upright, away from your face and clothing.
  3. Press the ignition button/lever firmly and quickly. The quad torch flames should ignite instantly.
  4. Release the ignition button/lever to extinguish the flame.

If the lighter does not ignite on the first attempt, release the button, wait a few seconds, and try again. Repeated attempts without waiting can cause gas to build up.

5.2. Using the Fold-Out Cigar Scissors

  1. Locate the fold-out cigar scissors on the side of the lighter.
  2. Gently pull the scissors outwards until they are fully extended and locked into position.
  3. Insert the cigar cap into the opening of the scissors.
  4. Close the scissors firmly and quickly to achieve a clean cut.
  5. Fold the scissors back into the lighter body when finished.

5.3. Using the Integrated Cigar Punches

The lighter features two integrated cigar punches of different sizes.

  1. Identify the desired punch size.
  2. Twist or pull the punch mechanism to extend the punch blade.
  3. Center the punch on the cigar cap.
  4. Apply gentle pressure and twist to create a clean hole.
  5. Retract the punch mechanism after use.

Regular and proper refilling is crucial for the longevity and performance of your lighter. Always follow the fueling instructions in Section 4.1.
