Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the internal battery of your CS Free® unit. This ensures maximum portability and readiness.

  1. Charging the CS Free® Internal Battery:

    Connect the supplied power plug to a wall outlet and then connect the USB-C cable to the CS Free® unit's charge input port. The LED display will indicate the charging progress of the internal battery.

  2. Alternative Charging Methods (Optional Accessories):
    • From a 12V Accessory Socket: Use CTEK's optional 12V accessory plug to charge the CS Free® from a vehicle's 12V socket.
    • From an External Battery: Utilize CTEK's USB-C charge cable clamps to connect the CS Free® to another 12V battery for charging.
    • From a Solar Panel: For off-grid charging, connect a compatible solar panel using an optional solar panel charge kit.

Adaptive Boost Technology (Jump Starting Alternative)

The Adaptive Boost feature provides a safe and quick way to get your vehicle started when its battery is dead, typically within 15 minutes, without the risks associated with traditional jump starters.

The clamps feature reverse polarity protection and are spark-free, preventing damage to your battery, vehicle, or the charger if connected incorrectly.   3. Initiate Adaptive Boost: Once connected, the CS Free® will automatically analyze the battery state. Press the "Start" button on the unit. The Adaptive Boost technology will determine the safest and quickest way to provide sufficient power to your battery.
  4. Siveye Pwogrè: The LED display on the unit will show a countdown, indicating the time remaining until the battery has enough power to start the vehicle.
  5. Kòmanse Veyikil la: When the "Start" indicator is fully lit, your vehicle's battery has received enough charge to be started. You can now attempt to start your vehicle.

Smart Battery Charging and Maintaining

The CS Free® can also be used as a regular charger and maintainer for long-term battery health, whether connected to a power source or operating off-grid.

  2. Connect to Power Source (Optional): For continuous charging and maintenance, connect the CS Free® to a wall outlet using the provided power plug and USB-C cable. Alternatively, use optional accessories for solar or 12V battery input.
