Entwodiksyon
This instruction manual provides essential information for the safe and effective use of your Iwata WS400-1401HD spray gun. Please read this manual thoroughly before operating the spray gun to ensure proper setup, operation, maintenance, and to prevent potential hazards.
The Iwata WS400-1401HD is a high-performance spray gun designed for professional paint application, featuring LV Technology for superior atomization and high transfer efficiency. This model is supplied as the gun only; the fluid cup must be purchased separately.
Enstalasyon
1. Debalaj ak Enspeksyon
Carefully remove the spray gun from its packaging. Inspect all components for any signs of damage that may have occurred during shipping. If any damage is found, do not use the product and contact your supplier immediately.

The Iwata WS400-1401HD spray gun consists of the main gun body, air cap, fluid nozzle, and needle. Note that the fluid cup is not included with this model and must be acquired separately.
3. Connecting the Fluid Cup (Sold Separately)
- Ensure the fluid cup is clean and free of debris.
- Thread the fluid cup securely onto the fluid inlet of the spray gun. Hand-tighten only; do not overtighten.
4. Connecting the Air Supply
- Attach a suitable air hose to the air inlet at the bottom of the spray gun handle.
- Ensure the air supply is clean, dry, and regulated to the recommended operating pressure (refer to specifications). An inline air filter/regulator is highly recommended.
5. Premye chèk yo
Before loading paint, connect the air supply and test the trigger mechanism. Ensure smooth operation of the trigger and needle. Check for any air leaks around connections.
Enstriksyon Operasyon
1. Preparing the Paint Material
Thoroughly mix and strain your paint material according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Ensure the viscosity is appropriate for spray application. Fill the fluid cup to an appropriate level, typically not exceeding 75% capacity.
2. Adjusting Air Pressure
Set the atomizing air pressure at the gun's air inlet to the recommended 29 psi. This can be adjusted using an inline air regulator with a gauge. Incorrect air pressure can lead to poor atomization or excessive overspray.
3. Adjusting Fluid Output
The fluid adjustment knob, located at the rear of the gun, controls the amount of paint released. Turn clockwise to decrease fluid output and counter-clockwise to increase it. Start with a moderate setting and adjust as needed for desired coverage.
4. Adjusting Spray Pattern
The pattern adjustment knob, typically located on the side of the gun, controls the shape and width of the spray pattern. Turn clockwise for a narrower, more concentrated pattern and counter-clockwise for a wider, fan-shaped pattern. The maximum pattern width is approximately 370 mm (14.57 pous).
5. Teknik flite
- Maintain a consistent distance from the surface, typically 6-8 inches.
- Move the gun parallel to the surface, using smooth, even strokes.
- Overlap each pass by approximately 50% to ensure even coverage.
- Release the trigger at the end of each pass to avoid excessive build-up.
- Always test your spray pattern and settings on a scrap piece of material before applying to your final workpiece.
Antretyen
Proper cleaning and maintenance are crucial for the longevity and performance of your Iwata spray gun.
1. Netwayaj chak jou
- Vide tout penti ki rete nan gode likid la.
- Pour a small amount of appropriate cleaning solvent into the cup.
- Flite solvan an nan zam la jiskaske li koule klè.
- Remove the air cap and clean it thoroughly with a brush and solvent. Ensure all holes are clear.
- Wipe down the exterior of the gun with a solvent-dampened twal.
2. Thorough Cleaning (As Needed)
For more extensive cleaning or when changing paint types:
- Perform daily cleaning steps.
- Carefully remove the air cap, fluid nozzle, and fluid needle.
- Soak these components in an appropriate cleaning solvent.
- Use a cleaning brush set to meticulously clean all internal passages and external surfaces. Pay close attention to the fluid nozzle tip and air cap horns.
- Rinse all components with clean solvent and allow them to air dry completely.
- Apply a small amount of spray gun lubricant to the fluid needle packing and trigger pivot points before reassembly.
- Reassemble the gun, ensuring all parts are correctly seated and tightened. Do not overtighten the fluid nozzle.
Caution: Never use metal tools to clean the fluid nozzle or air cap holes, as this can damage precision surfaces and affect spray performance.
3. Depo
Store the clean and dry spray gun in a protective case or hang it in a clean, dry environment to prevent dust accumulation and damage.
