5.2. Scheduling Cleaning
The Roomba 886 can be programmed to clean at specific times. Use the 'SCHEDULE' button and arrow keys on the robot's control panel to set desired cleaning times for each day of the week. Ensure the robot is on its Home Base and fully charged for scheduled cleanings to execute.
5.3. Intelligent Navigation
The Roomba 886 uses intelligent navigation to cover all areas of your floor. It detects dirtier areas and spends more time cleaning them. It also uses sensors to avoid stairs and other drop-offs, and to navigate around furniture.

The AeroForce Anti-Tangle Brushes (extractors) should be cleaned weekly. Pinch the yellow tabs on the brush frame to open the brush guard. Remove the extractors and clean any hair or debris wrapped around them or trapped in their bearings. Reinstall the extractors, ensuring they click into place.

The HEPA filter should be cleaned weekly and replaced every 2-3 months, depending on usage. Remove the filter from the dust bin and tap it against a trash can to dislodge debris. Do not wash the filter with water.
