  2. Separate the Cards: Separate the Chance cards and Community Chest cards. Shuffle each deck and place them face down on their designated spaces on the board.

    • One 500 Lira note
    • One 200 Lira note

  5. Choose a Pawn: Each player selects one pawn and places it on the 'GO' space.
  6. Determine Play Order: Each player rolls both dice. The player with the highest total starts the game. Play proceeds to the left.

4. How to Play (Operating)

The objective of Monopoly is to be the last player remaining with money, by driving opponents into bankruptcy through property purchases and rent collection. Players move around the board, buying and trading properties, and developing them with houses and hotels. When opponents land on owned properties, they pay rent to the owner.

  • On your turn, roll both dice and move your pawn clockwise around the board the number of spaces indicated.

  • Landing on 'Chance' or 'Community Chest' spaces requires you to draw a card from the respective deck and follow its instructions.
  • Passing 'GO' earns you 2,000 Lira from the Bank.
  • Landing on 'Go to Jail' sends you directly to Jail. You cannot collect 2,000 Lira for passing 'GO' if sent to Jail.
  • If you roll doubles, you take your turn as usual, then roll again. If you roll doubles three times in a row, you go directly to Jail.
