Familiarize yourself with the external and internal layout of the IPC 4U-4320L chassis.
Figi 4.1: Front Panel View. This image displays the front of the Inter-Tech IPC 4U-4320L chassis with its hinged door open. Visible are two large fan grilles for cooling, and to the right, three bays for 5.25-inch devices. Above these bays are the power button, reset button, two USB 2.0 ports, and one USB 3.0 port.
Figi 4.2: Panel aryè View. The rear of the chassis features a large cutout for a standard ATX power supply on the left. To the right, there are multiple expansion slots for add-in cards and two smaller fan grilles for exhaust cooling.
Figure 4.3: Internal Top View. This image shows the interior of the chassis from a top-down perspective. Three large fans are visible at the front, designed to provide airflow over the internal components. Above these fans, several drive cages are mounted.
Figure 4.4: Empty Chassis Interior. An unobstructed view of the chassis interior, highlighting the motherboard mounting area with standoffs, the structure for various drive bays, and the rear fan mounting points. This view demonstrates the spacious design for component installation.
4.2 Montaj etajè
The IPC 4U-4320L is designed for standard 19-inch server racks. Use appropriate rack rails (not included) to secure the chassis in your server cabinet. Ensure the rack is stable and capable of supporting the weight of the fully loaded chassis.
- Attach the rack rails to your server cabinet according to the rail manufacturer's instructions.
- Slide the chassis onto the installed rack rails until it locks into place.
- Secure the front of the chassis to the rack using the provided screws through the rack ears.
4.3 Enstalasyon Konpozan
Before installing any components, ensure the chassis is placed on a stable, flat surface and the power cable is disconnected.
4.3.1 Enstalasyon mèr
- Remove the top cover of the chassis by unscrewing the retaining screws.
- Install the I/O shield into the rear panel cutout.
- Aliyen kat manman an ak distans ki anndan chasi a.
- Sere kat manman an ak vis ki apwopriye yo.
4.3.2 Drive Installation (3.5" / 2.5" HDDs/SSDs)
The chassis supports multiple 3.5" and 2.5" drives. Utilize the provided drive cages and mounting hardware.
Figure 4.5: Drive Cage with Hard Drive. This image illustrates a 3.5-inch hard drive being slid into a drive cage, secured by blue plastic rails. The cage itself is designed for multiple drives and includes a fan for cooling.
Figure 4.6: Plastic Drive Rails. Two purple plastic rails are shown, which attach to the sides of 3.5-inch hard drives to facilitate tool-less installation into compatible drive cages.
- Attach the plastic drive rails (Figure 4.6) to the sides of your 3.5-inch hard drives. For 2.5-inch drives, use appropriate adapters (not included) or direct screw mounting if available.
- Slide the prepared drive into an available drive bay within a drive cage (Figure 4.5) until it clicks into place.
- Connect SATA data and power cables to each installed drive.
4.3.3 5.25" Device Installation
The front panel provides bays for 5.25-inch devices such as optical drives or hot-swap drive cages.
- Open the front panel door.
- Remove the desired 5.25" bay cover from the front panel.
- Slide the 5.25" device into the bay from the front.
- Secure the device with screws from the side of the chassis.
4.3.4 Enstalasyon Kat Ekspansyon
- Remove the appropriate expansion slot cover from the rear of the chassis.
- Insert the expansion card firmly into the PCIe/PCI slot on the motherboard.
- Secure the card with the retaining screw or clip.
4.3.5 Fan Installation and Management
The chassis includes multiple fan mounting points for optimal airflow.
Figure 4.7: Internal Fan Mounting. Imaj sa a montre yon bò view of an internal fan, likely part of a drive cage or a dedicated cooling bracket, positioned to provide airflow across the internal components.
Figure 4.8: Metal Mounting Brackets. Two metal brackets are displayed, which can be used to secure various components or additional fans within the chassis structure.
- Ensure all fans are correctly oriented for optimal airflow (intake at front, exhaust at rear).
- Connect fan power cables to the motherboard or a fan controller.
- Utilize additional mounting brackets (Figure 4.8) if installing extra fans or custom cooling solutions.
4.4 Konekte periferik
