3. Ki sa ki nan bwat la

Lè w ap debale, verifye si tout bagay ki nan lis anba a yo la:

  • 3M Random Orbital Sander 20325 Pneumatic Non-Vacuum Tool
  • 3M Stikit Disc Pad 20354
  • Sample of 3M Air Tool Lubricant
  • 24 mm Pad Wrench 28108
  • Manyèl Enstriksyon (dokiman sa a)

4. Enstalasyon

4.1 Kondisyon pou Pwovizyon pou Air

This tool is air-powered and requires a clean, lubricated air supply. Ensure your air compressor meets the following specifications:

  • Pousantaj Airflow: 17 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) or 481 liters per minute (LPM) at the tool.
  • Presyon lè: 90 pounds per square inch (psi) at the tool when running with the lever fully depressed.
  • Airline: An approved 3/8 inch (10 mm) airline is recommended. Use the minimum length required for the application, with a maximum length of 25 feet (8 m).

4.2 Attaching the Disc Pad

  1. Ensure the air supply is disconnected from the sander.
  2. Align the 3M Stikit Disc Pad 20354 with the sander's base.
  3. Securely attach the disc pad using the provided 24 mm Pad Wrench 28108. The disc pad reduces vibrations and ensures reliable disc adhesion.

4.3 Attaching Abrasive Discs

The 3M Stikit Disc Pad is designed for use with adhesive-backed sanding discs. Simply peel the backing from the abrasive disc and firmly press it onto the disc pad, ensuring proper alignment.

5. Operasyon Enstriksyon

5.1 Operasyon Jeneral

  1. Connect the sander to the air supply.
  2. Hold the sander firmly with both hands, ensuring a comfortable grip.
  3. Place the abrasive disc flat against the workpiece surface.
  4. Depress the lever to start the sander. The tool operates at a maximum RPM of 12,000 at 90 psi.
  5. Move the sander in overlapping patterns across the surface to achieve an even finish. The random orbital action helps prevent swirl marks.
  6. Release the lever to stop the sander.
  7. Disconnect the air supply when finished or when leaving the tool unattended.

5.2 Key Features for Performance

  • Pwisan motè: The 0.28 hp motor provides ample power for various sanding and finishing applications.
  • Operasyon lis: A precision-balanced motor ensures smooth operation, contributing to greater comfort and control.
  • Random Orbital Action: The 3/16" diameter orbit rotates the abrasive disc in two simultaneous overlapping oval patterns, preventing single abrasive particles from following the same path twice. This produces a random scratch pattern and a swirl-free finish suitable for paint or varnish.
  • Konsepsyon ergonomique: Ba-pro afile, balanced design, comfortable rubber grip, and recessed lever platform are engineered to optimize ergonomics and reduce operator fatigue.
